Q. What will happen after September 30, 2009?
A. This offer is only valid until September 30, 2009. After September 30, 2009 customers on QuarkXPress 3, 4 and/or 5 will be required to purchase a full product license to use the latest version of QuarkXPress. QuarkXPress 6 and 7 users will be able to upgrade for the standard price. Therefore, if you’re considering upgrading a copy of QuarkXPress 3, 4 and/or 5 to QuarkXPress 8, we advise you to do so before September 30.

Q. How do I upgrade to QuarkXPress 8?
A. Contact a Quark Authorized Reseller or Quark Customer Service or visit the Quark Store

Q. I can’t locate my serial number and/or product box and/or disks for my old QuarkXPress licenses. Can I still upgrade them to QuarkXPress 8?
A. We maintain a database of serial numbers that might include your previous details. If you complete our brief “missing serial number” form, we’ll do all we can to locate the relevant information to enable you to upgrade to QuarkXPress 8 for the standard upgrade price.

Q. What constitutes a proof of purchase for QuarkXPress 8 if I can’t locate my serial number?
A. Proof of purchase includes: Fax or scan of installation CD, disks, or receipts.

Q. What if my previous QuarkXPress license was on Windows®, but I would like to purchase a QuarkXPress 8 Mac OS® license (or vice versa)?
A. QuarkXPress 8 has dual platform support, which means you simply buy an upgrade license, and it’s entirely up to you if you install it on Mac OS or Windows.

Q. Is this only available from Quark or can I also upgrade through resellers?
A. You can upgrade through resellers or directly from Quark. If you are upgrading through a reseller or using the Quark® Store, please be sure that you have located your previous serial number(s) because you’ll need these in order to retrieve your validation code and install and use your QuarkXPress 8 upgrade after you’ve purchased it. If you can’t locate your serial number(s), you can complete our brief “missing serial number” form at and we’ll do all we can to locate the relevant information to enable you to upgrade to QuarkXPress 8 for the standard upgrade price.

Q. What if I’ve already upgraded my previous license to QuarkXPress 8?
A. Only licenses that haven’t yet been upgraded to QuarkXPress 8 can be upgraded. It’s not possible to upgrade the same license multiple times.

Q. Can I still use my previous version of QuarkXPress after I’ve upgraded?
A: Yes, when you upgrade to QuarkXPress 8 you can continue to use the previous version, provided that the update and the previous version are installed on the same computer. Please note that we do not provide free Technical Support for versions prior to QuarkXPress 7.
